About Me

Hey, I’m Layne, and my pronouns are they/them. Born with a disability, I started writing for my own benefit in 2017 before I started my website later that year. Soon learning that I wasn’t as alone as I thought I was in society, and my pride started growing. During this time my love for writing grew, from writing on my own social media and website, to being a guest on other people’s blogs, writing articles for businesses and having stories appear in anthologies.

My work

For the past eight years, I’ve been an avid disability and inclusion activist, sharing my story of being a proud disabled and queer person, as well as sharing highlights on people with disabilities that don’t get their chance to share their stories with the world. During this journey, I’ve worked with businesses across Western Australia to provide them with my lived experience and advice on disability, access, and inclusion.
