2023 is going to become a massive year for me. And yes, I know that it’s only March now, but I’ve got quite a few exciting things coming up for me in the next couple of months. Last year was a massive twist and turn for me and my lifestyle, as there were many highs and many lows in 2022. So, on this week’s blog, I’ve got some exciting things I would love to share with you 💞 – keep reading if you want to know more!
Just recently I have chosen a word for the year … it’s explore! After many ups and downs last year and never sticking with a new year’s resolution, I’ve decided to do this 💁♀️
February was all about getting back into the routine of study. For those of you that have followed my journey last year, you would all know that I took a step back from my studies. At the time I was studying marketing full-time, and with someone that has CP (in my own experience) studying full-time isn’t doable. I was hesitant about going back to studies, especially how last year turned out for me. With knowing half of the course already I had a little head up, so yippee me 🥰
This month began with my lovely support worker and me attending an International Women’s Day event at Crown Towers in Perth. For someone who hasn’t been to anything like this before, and with nerves throughout my body, I had an epic day at the towers. Thanks to my studies at TAFE, I’m wearing two or three hats in my world right now; a cap for me as a study student, another cap goes on for my personal life and managing my CP, and finally, another cap goes into my business. Which has become an incredibly useful course, especially for me with the path I’m taking at laynecdixon 💫
So, let’s get jiggling into some fun and exciting things that will be happening for me later this year. On Saturday, this coming Saturday; I’m participating in a self-care retreat which is held by Jarna from Daya of Clarity and Heidi Anderson to step into the most uncomfortable versions of ourselves. Stay tuned this weekend for some Instagram and Facebook stories 🤗
I’m currently in one of Heidi’s back pockets 😅 Last week and this week I have been participating in her PR coaching group. This just involves me listening to her voice messages every day and implementing them into my business. I’m hoping to complete these actions at a later stage with implementing this as Heidi tours all around the country promoting her book Drunk on Confidence.
In May (I’m hoping) I’m going to get my first ever photoshoot done 📸 With taking my personal branding to the next level and not just seeing it as a hobby anymore. I got in touch with Belle Verdiglione to do some photos for me which I’m really looking forward to, stay tuned for a possible website update!
